Duncan Clark, NextGen Nano’s Director of Operations, has many years of experience in the field of alternative energy, with a specialist interest in nanotechnology and organic light-emitting diode (OLED) technology. NextGen Nano is a high-tech company that was established to empower the individual through the decentralisation of power generation.

The company strives to reduce the world’s reliance on fossil fuels, finite materials and pollutants, and as well as deliberately having a positive impact on the environment. Alternative energy sources, OLED technology and nanotechnology are at the heart of NextGen Nano, and the company has developed a benchmark IP that could be key in the decentralising of energy. NextGen Nano works in line with recent climate and government CO2 emission policy goals, thanks to its cutting-edge technology, the company hopes to offer environmentally sustainable biopolymer substitutes that will replace the highly-polluting, unsustainable materials that are currently on offer.

NextGen Nano has developed technology using earth-friendly biopolymers, which has enabled the development of a new solar cell which is able to produce energy at a more efficient rate than any rival technology. Without using finite or polluting materials, NextGen Nano’s solar cell is an efficient energy producer, as well as being suitable for a wide range of real-world applications.

The technology created by NextGen Nano has the potential to change the existing market, opening up many new opportunities and decentralising power generation. From electric vehicles to planes, drones, wearable electronics and military hardware, NextGen Nano’s products can be adapted for a huge variety of uses.

The nanotechnology market is expected to be worth $75.8 billion in 2020, and developments in this sector are predicted to cause significant impacts to all major industries. NextGen Nano’s technology team is led by the world-renowned nanoscientist and inventor Dr Franky So, who has more than 190 worldwide patents to his name.

Currently, NextGen Nano has developed two exciting and innovative products: PolyPower and New Fusion. PolyPower blends earth-friendly biopolymers with nanotechnology, the result being a hugely powerful new solar cell technology that has a great number of applications.

New Fusion focuses on low-voltage blue OLEDs, which operate on half the voltage of conventional OLEDs whilst also having a far longer lifetime. Using earth-friendly renewable compounds, New Fusion is purely carbon-based with a low-drive voltage, resulting in a product that could transform the entire OLED market thanks to its triplet-triplet annihilation technology.
